King’s Vision Statement:

Students, Staff, and Parents of King Middle School are dedicated to relevant and collaborative learning at the highest scholarly level ensuring ethics, innovation, and global citizenship.

Introduction and Pledge:

Please remember that there is NO FOOD in the back at any time.

"Attention Lions:  Yearbooks are still available for pre-order through the Student Store.  The cost is $45.

Atention students: beginning today the 6th grade bathrooms will be closed during periods 5 and 6.  Please take care of your personal needs during your assigned lunch period.  Again, the 6th grade bathrooms will be closed during periods 5 and 6 from now on.

Just a reminder, during lunch, students are only allowed to be in the lunch area, blacktop, or the field area.  You are not permitted to be behind the K building, in the L hallway, or in the pods.  There are classes going on during both lunches and those students deserve to have a peaceful learning environment.

Today’s College Week Fun Fact: Even though you are in still in middle school, there are a lot of things you can be doing RIGHT NOW that will help you be ready for college. Doing your homework every night, learning about what jobs you’re interested in, studying for tests and talking to your parents about college are all great ways to get prepared.

The winner for the best decorated door is……. Ms. Simmons.  Congratulations!

Do you want to be a part of the ASB Student Government next year?  If so, applications are now available for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Senate.  If you have already marked ASB for your electives next year, you still need to complete the ASB application and run for office.  Applications can be picked up at the front office, student store, room E-2 at lunch or room F-1 from Mr. Fisher.  The deadline to turn in the application is  Tuesday April 2nd.

Thanks to the generosity and kindness of the King MS family, all of our visiting German students have a home to stay in while they visit Oceanside. To all host students and families- thank your hospitality and inviting a student to your home. We hope it will be a great experience you and the rest of the King MS community.
