PASS Program

King Welcomes Pass Americorps

Welcome to the PASS (Promoting Achievement & Student Success) AmeriCorps program! PASS is designed as a leadership opportunity for students to gain new skills, improve their academic performance, and become a positive influence on the campus community. The PASS mentor/s provides individual and group mentoring sessions, discussions, tutoring, grades and attendance reviews, community service projects, guest speakers, and accompanied field trips.

Students who are enrolled in the PASS AmeriCorps program will receive individualized services that will prepare them to be better students and community members.

Welcome Friends,  my name is Miss. Abi, I am from San Diego California and I will be one of your AmeriCorps PASS mentors for this Academic Year.  I have worked as a mental health worker, a behavior modification coach, and recently as a Social Worker for the San Diego Regional Center. I am currently studying for my MS in school Counseling and I am always looking for ways to provide resources to students and families. I am really excited about working at MLK and to be part of this multidisciplinary team. Let’s make things happen and I look forward to meeting you all virtually and in person 😊.
