King Welcomes Pass Americorps

PASS

Welcome to the PASS (Promoting Achievement & Student Success) AmeriCorps program! PASS is designed as a leadership opportunity for students to gain new skills, improve their academic performance, and become a positive influence on the campus community. The PASS mentor/s provides individual and group mentoring sessions, discussions, tutoring, grades and attendance reviews, community service projects, guest speakers, and accompanied field trips.

Students who are enrolled in the PASS AmeriCorps program will receive individualized services that will prepare them to be better students and community members.

Arturo Pulido

Hello King Lions!

My name is Mr. Pulido and I am very excited to be servicing as one of your PASS    AmeriCorps Mentors for the 2020-2021 school year. I am originally from Los Angeles, Go Dodgers! I earned my B.A. in Urban Studies with a focus in Community Engagement and Involvement along with a minor in Education from the University of California, Irvine. I am thrilled to be serving as a mentor to the students of Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School and look forward to collaborating with our great staff and community members to ensure that our students have the tools they need to succeed in their academic and personal lives. I am confident that this will be a successful school year!
