When to Seek Help for Mental Health Issues
Middle school is a difficult time for adolescents, as they are literally “caught in the middle” between childhood and adulthood. With all of the normal and developmentally appropriate changes going on, between friendships, increased academic demands, physical changes and more, it can be difficult for adolescents to cope. Add on stressful events such as peer pressure, families affected by divorce, military deployment, grief and more, and handling everyday life can be a struggle.
